Bike Right 10.5
9-10 April 2005, Longridge Towers,
Berwick-upon-Tweed
Bike Right and a bit heralds the approach of
summer. Well, it would do it if it wasn't for the snow and bitterly cold winds.
Gathering at Longridge Towers, cyclists warmed their frozen extremities on
steaming mugs of tea and caught up on a winter's riding. Good food, heating and
slide shows kept the majority in on the Friday night, but an elite group wanted
to help Ralf test his new dynamo and so we escaped to the pub.
For Saturday, I joined Phil and friends for a
good ride to Selkirk with several teashops and plenty of rain showers, sun and
tail winds.

Sunday was the annual pilgrimage on more quiet
roads to Coldingham and lunch by the harbour.

Then it was back to Longridge and then into
Berwick-upon-Tweed for the train home.
